MoodMap (“the app”) is a private mood journal published by Baron Mobile Games (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the app handles, why, and what choices you have. It applies to the MoodMap Android application distributed through Google Play.
How you feel is nobody else’s business. There is no account to create, no server to sync to, and no way for us to read what you write — your mood entries and notes stay on your phone. The app does show advertisements, and our advertising provider collects data to deliver them. That is the only data collection involved, and it never includes anything you record in the app.
The app saves the following locally, in its own private storage:

This data is written to your device’s private app storage. It is not transmitted to us or to anyone else, it is not backed up to any server we control, and we have no way to read it. There is no account, no login and no cloud sync — the app works completely offline apart from loading advertisements. Uninstalling the app deletes all of it permanently.
Information about mental wellbeing is sensitive, and we treat it that way. No emotion, intensity, note, tag, place, streak or any other value you record is ever sent to our advertising provider, used to select an advertisement, or transmitted off your device for any purpose. The part of the app that requests advertisements has no access to your journal.
When you log a mood you may optionally tag it with a place — Home, Work or Outside. These are labels you tap, nothing more. The app does not use GPS, does not request any location permission, and never records coordinates, addresses or map data. It has no way to tell where you actually are.
Reminders are off by default. If you turn them on and pick one or two times of day, your device asks for permission to show notifications and then schedules those reminders locally on the phone. They are not push messages: nothing is sent from a server, and no one is told that a reminder fired or whether you acted on it. A reminder contains no details of your entries. Turning reminders off, or denying the notification permission, cancels them.
There is a second, optional notification: a weekly nudge, off by default, that tells you your recent entries have started to show patterns. It says only that — never which patterns, and never anything you wrote. It is scheduled on your device like the reminders, and only while there is actually something to look at.
You can delete any individual entry from inside the app. To remove everything at once, uninstall the app, or clear its storage from your device settings (Settings → Apps → MoodMap → Storage → Clear data). Because nothing is stored anywhere else, that is a complete deletion — there is no copy on a server for us to remove, and nothing for you to request from us.
MoodMap is free and is funded by advertising. We use Google AdMob to display a banner on the History and Insights screens, an occasional full-screen advertisement, and an optional rewarded advertisement that you can choose to watch in exchange for a bonus streak-freeze token. Nothing in the app is locked behind an advertisement — the rewarded one is always your choice, and declining it costs you nothing but the bonus.
To serve and measure these advertisements, Google may collect and process:

This data is collected by Google, not by us. We only receive anonymous, aggregated reporting such as the total number of advertisements shown. Google’s handling of it is governed by its own policies:
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app shows a consent form the first time you open it, provided through Google’s User Messaging Platform. You choose whether your data may be used for personalised advertising. You may refuse. If you refuse, you will still see advertisements, but they will not be personalised.
You can change your decision at any time from Settings → Ad privacy options.
Everywhere in the world, you can limit advertising tracking through your device: Settings → Google → Ads, where you can reset or delete your advertising ID and opt out of ad personalisation.

That is the complete list, read out of the released app bundle rather than written from memory. The app does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, precise location, photos or files.
There are none. The app contains no analytics library and no crash reporter, so we receive no usage statistics, no session data and no crash reports containing your information. What we can see is limited to the anonymous, aggregated figures Google Play and AdMob show every developer.
MoodMap is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will address it.
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to export or erase on request. To exercise rights relating to data collected for advertising — including access, erasure, or objection under the GDPR — please refer to Google’s Privacy Policy, which describes how to make such a request. You can delete all locally stored data at any time as described under Deleting your data above.
If this policy changes, the revised version will be published at this address with an updated date at the top. Significant changes affecting how data is handled will also be reflected in a new app release.
